Workshop 3D scan with ScanXpert FX

Seminar goal:

In this training you will learn how quickly and efficiently you can scan your own objects with "ScanXpert FX".

For everyone who is considering getting into 3D scanning or is just gaining initial experience, we will provide the necessary basic knowledge in this seminar.

You will learn how to successfully scan a 3D object and optimally prepare this scan for 3D printing or use in a CAD application.

Requirements:

You do not need any prior knowledge.
Nevertheless, you can bring in knowledge from 3D modeling or the CAD area.

Seminar content:

In the first part of the seminar you will learn the basics of 3D scanning and get an overview of the different scanning methods.
You will get to know the technology and operation of a structured light scanner and learn how the individual components work together.

In the practical part of the workshop you will learn the steps for calibrating and adjusting the field of view of your scanner.
The scan workflow and the operation of the Scan software will be demonstrated to you in practical exercises.

The ScanXpert FX 3D scanner is available for practical exercises.

After completing this workshop, you will be able to independently adjust the hardware setup of your 3D scanner and recalibrate it using ScanXpert Setup. You are familiar with the essential tools of the ScanXpert Suite software and can use them safely.
